Technical equipment for conference interpreting

Reliable interpreting depends on more than excellent interpreters. The right technical setup ensures that every speaker can be heard clearly and every attendee can follow the event comfortably—wherever they are seated.

Conference interpreting technical equipment

Booths, consoles and complete interpreting systems

We provide complete technical solutions for simultaneous and conference interpreting, including interpreting booths, consoles, transmitters, receivers and headsets. Our setups always comply with the applicable ISO standards, helping to ensure professional working conditions, clear sound and reliable communication throughout your event.

In most of our locations, we generally work with Bosch interpreting consoles. These professional systems are dependable, widely used and designed specifically for multilingual conferences. We select the most appropriate equipment for the venue, room layout, number of languages and format of your event.

Headsets and receivers for your audience

Attendees listen to the interpretation through individual receivers and headsets. This equipment is supplied in predefined sets, so we will need an approximate number of attendees and speakers who will require them. You do not need to know the exact final attendance when requesting a quote—a realistic estimate is enough for us to recommend the right quantity and plan the setup.

Receivers and headsets are expensive professional equipment. To avoid losses, delays and other inconveniences, we always recommend appointing one person to be responsible for handing them out and collecting them back at the end of the event. This person should request a form of ID from each recipient when the equipment is handed over, so every unit can be accounted for and returned safely.

We can also advise on spare units and the best way to manage multiple rooms or language channels.

Microphones, AV equipment and technical coordination

Many conference venues already have microphones, screens and projectors. When they do, we can assess how the venue’s equipment will connect to the interpreting system and identify anything else that may be required.

If the venue does not provide suitable equipment—or if you would prefer one team to coordinate the complete technical setup—we can help with microphones, sound systems, screens, projectors and much more.

Whenever we provide the interpreting equipment, we also assign our own sound technicians. They are responsible for the interpreting system and make sure the interpreters can hear the speakers and the audience can receive each language channel clearly.

For larger events, our technicians work closely with the venue’s or event organiser’s wider AV team, whose responsibility is the technical production of the event as a whole. This coordination keeps the interpreting setup fully integrated with the microphones, sound, screens, presentations and other event systems.
